This is a collage I did for my daughter's teacher at the end of the school year. Her daughter and grandson (top left) were done in pencil, her son (bottom left) was done in pen and ink, and her other son (right) was done in watercolor. I completed all three on the same type of watercolor paper, cut them out, arranged them with other embellishments, matted, and framed it. She loved it, and it wasn't the same old apple teacher gift that she was used to getting. My daughter and I also wrote on the back thanking her for a wonderful year.

Our Spring River trip has come and gone. The weather was surprisingly nice despite the rain towards the end of the float trip. This also contributed to the lack of scorched skin. It was very nice to come home without the lobster effect. Our fishing left something to be desired- 4 small fish to feed 8 people is not good. Heather was kind enough to bring dinner on her way to the campsite Friday night. Sadly, our tent and mattress were left behind. We were asked to pose next to the trash can so we might have a photo to remember them by. It was not fun pumping up the mattress at 3:00 am every morning (especially after too much to drink). We're already anticipating our trip next July 4th. I'm sure everything will go as planned next time! :)
